Doesn't this card have a $50 annual fee?

Yes, but the annual fee is waived if you have an Alaska USA checking account. When you have $500 minimum on deposit for a Secured Visa card, you are also qualified for Alaska USA Relationship Checking with no monthly maintenance fees.
